A fundraising event will be taking place in the form of a dinner dance on the 19th November at the West Lodge Hotel. There are still a few tickets available for one of the best social nights of the year. All support is welcomed for what is guaranteed to be a great night out, anyone looking for tickets can email info@bantry2012.com, tickets are 35 euro and include a three course meal and entertainment for the night. In other news, Únite is out of the water and is beginning the long process of being refurbished to get her ready for action next July.
A large squad of athletes are already into serious training in the hopes of being part of the crew which will represent Ireland on home water for the first time since 1996. With a number of returning crew and plenty of fresh faces all looking for places hopes are high for a strong crew to take to the water next year.
